DAY 1
ARRIVAL
You’ll arrive the night before your first ski day. Get situated in the lodge with a big welcome dinner, meet your guides and the staff, then rest up and prepare for your first day of heliskiing in the morning
Day 2
FIRST DAY Heliskiing
The morning begins with breakfast and then a safety briefing. On your first day of heliskiing, the guides will get to know your group, desired terrain, and ensure that guests are matched up appropriately by skill level. At Great Canadian they ski in small groups of 4, and the makeup of those groups are important to ensure everyone has a spectacular time.
DAY 3 – 4
UNLIMITED VERTICAL
Now that everyone is comfortable, it’s time to explore the terrain at Great Canadian and their massive tenure. You’ll have full control of the helicopters to dictate where you and your guide will ski and the pace.
DAY 5
SKIING AND DEPARTURE
On your last day of heliskiing, everyone will pack up their items before heading out in the helicopter for the day. Upon arriving back, you’ll check out and head back to Calgary for your departure flights, exhausted, fulfilled, and still reveling in the adventure that you all just experienced.
ABOUT GREAT CANADIAN HELI-SKIING
Great Canadian Heli-Skiing is located in Golden, BC in the heart of the powder highway. Located near Calgary International Airport and having drive in access to the lodge makes it one of the most convenient heli-skiing operations for arrival and departure while still being located in the heart of the best powder snowfall in the region. What truly makes this lodge unique is it’s location and their fly day rate. Great Canadian boasts a 98% percent fly day rate, which means they are rarely, if ever, unable to fly due to conditions or visibility, making them the gold standard in the industry. Although there are no guarantees when it comes to weather and conditions, Great Canadians unique ability to access terrain even in periods of heavy snowfall or visibility maximizes your chances of getting what you came for.
Great Canadian offers small group, unlimited vertical heliskiing, the most premium way to experience heliskiing in the industry. Small groups maximize safety and make for a more personal experience. They make it easier to match guest expectations and skill levels, so you don’t end up feeling rushed by more advanced skiers or held back by those who like to take it a little slower. They mean less waiting and more skiing. Great Canadian was the first heli-skiing operation to offer unlimited vertical, and the best way to take full advantage is to be smaller, quicker and more nimble. Quite simply, small groups mean more time doing what you love, with the people who matter most.
