The islands are reached after an easy two- to three-hour sail from Hurghada. This trip is totally customizable, with options to explore local markets, add on sight-seeing tours in Cairo, or make adjustments to the size or quality of the yacht to make sure this experience is tailor made for your group.

YACHT Details
The yacht experience is pivotal to this experience, and we work with local partners to secure the best options. Yachts can be suited to accommodate groups as small as 6 all the way to 26 or multiple boats to host larger groups. Each yacht is professionally crewed and staffed with chef, captain, mechanic, zodiac drivers, waiters, and more. We then add profession kite surfing instructors and staff to support the kite surfing activities with instructors, beach staff, and boat drivers. Delicious meals are prepared daily by the onboard chef and kitchen team combining a mix of healthy Egyptian and European cuisine.

DAY 1
ARRIVAL
The staff will arrange transportation from the airport, where you will be shuttled directly to the marina in Hurghada. There you will meet the team for the ship as well as your kite instructors. You’ll get settled in and shown your cabins before heading out the next day.

Day 2 – 6
KITING AND EXPLORING
You’ll move from secluded kite spot to secret beaches, shallow waters and beyond. Each day will bring new scenery and a new location. Each day will include shuttling to the beach from the yacht, all of our equipment prepared on the beach by a professional staff, and then either kiting independently or receiving instructions from an IKO certified instructor.

DAY 7
BEACH DAY
Enjoy a BBQ bash on the beach with the entire group. You’ll spend the day relaxing, kiting, and playing beach games. You can snorkel and free dive in the area, as the crew prepares meals for everyone. Most call this the best day of the trip.

DAY 8-9
THE SIGHTS OF EGYPT
Our team can arrange cultural experiences and tours for your entire group in Cairo and beyond. Explore the Great Pyramids of Giza, tour a local pen air spice market, or explore the city on your own before departing on your final day.
ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE
The focus of the experience is on kiting, and the trip is designed to be exciting for all ability levels. Because of the nature of a yacht based kiting trip, each person can learn and progress in the sport at their own level. It levels the playing field to where a professional kiteboarder and someone who has never kited before can be on the same trip.

- Sun protection: This includes sunblock and hats. The sun in Egypt is serious.
- Sunglasses: Bring two pairs so you have a backup if you lose a pair in the water.
- Medications: Prescription and non-prescription. They have a small first-aid kit on the yacht for minor cuts, scrapes, etc.
- Reusable water bottle: There are large water containers on the yacht for you to refill your bottle. IMPORTANT: We do not use any single-use water bottles on the yacht.
- Wall charging adapters: Egypt uses the same plugin as Europe.
- Neoprene shoes/booties: The spots where you kite at are mostly all sand-bottomed, but if you are a beginner, we strongly suggest bringing a thin pair of neoprene booties/shoes to protect your feet. This is the sea and small shells and corals are part of the environment. Beginners tend to spend more time than most on their feet in the water and it’s very easy to slice your foot on a broken shell or coral.
- Warm shirt: In the evenings, the temperatures drop a bit and it’s nice to have a warm pullover shirt to keep off the chill, especially if it’s windy or your cabin’s air-conditioning is on high.
- Beach towel: There are towels and robes in your cabin, but we ask that they stay there, and you bring your own for the beach.
- Snorkel equipment: If the wind is down, the group will usually go snorkeling for the day. They will have a limited supply of snorkel equipment on board, so if you have your own, we suggest bringing it (if the wind forecast shows non-wind days).
- Regarding kite equipment, the wind is typically 16-25 knots most days during the peak season of April through October. If you are bringing your own equipment (and not renting), you should check the wind forecast 2-3 days before you fly and then pack your kite equipment accordingly. The wind is 3-5 knots stronger at the islands than on the mainland.
